  • Greg puts four finger picks on his right hand when he plays.

The traditional ("Earl Scruggs") style of play is to put a thumb pick on your right thumb and to put finger picks on your index and middle fingers. Then you plant your ring finger and pinky on the head of the banjo to provide a solid base for picking. (Some people plant just the ring, some just the pinky.)

Greg Liszt puts a fourth fingerpick on his ring finger and plants just his pinky.

  • By 4-fingered banjo style, do you mean in the left or right hand?

Sorry if that sounds dumb. XD

    Love Crooked Still!

  • Greg is a superhero on that banjo.

  • He uses four fingers? Can you explain how he does this?
