The Hardest Thing (Original Song)

I have a good friend who was married a few years before me, then divorced. He has since been remarried but was divorced again. And yes, he is remarried again. I wrote this song in 1990, after his first divorce, just to give him hope. Little could I have known how true it would be. I thought that I ought to upload this song just in case he needs it again.

This never was one of my favorite songs or best recordings. It sounded like crap. Even after I re-mastered it and re-mixed it, it still sounded like crap. However, just today I invented a new system of cleaning up a poor recording. It may just have been worth my time. Still not my best work, but this is the best I have ever heard it. Maybe I should re-master I'll Be with You Again, again.

i don`t understand, why people have to marry, when they want to be free.....when they feel so trapped that they have to devorse....one time okay.....but i cannot see any reasons to marry and marry and marry......hmpf......i am married, too.....but i never planned......i never wanted to marry....the circumstandes brought us to the point.....and it is good like it is now.....but.....hmpf....why marriage when the priority is freedom?

@MrECLECTICIAN The bass was not played well, and it was too loud. The lead was too soft, and full of tape hiss. The background sounded bad. As I remember, I had hoped my friend would re-record it with me. We never did. The first cleanup sounded like it was sung in space. I was going to record new bass, but the tunning is off on this recording. That is what happens when one goes tape to tape. Glad you like it. Thanks.

I never heard the original, but the production on this sounds great, so it sounds like your experiment with mastering a song worked out. I think this song is great for anyone who knows divorce.
