Welcome to a new GT5 Series I'm putting together showing only the most difficult events on the game. Each week/fortnight I'll be uploading a new video which shows a difficult challenge on the game being completed.
This is the second video in the series and we continue with the most revered car on the game - the Red Bull X2010. This is the Sebastian Vettel challenge unlocked at level 30 and now we will deal with the considerably more difficult Nurburgring.
This challenge is significantly more difficult than Monza before it and requires much more time and effort to get the gold. Once you get the right lines and are getting close to the gold it's a good idea to turn off all instruments so you don't choke.
In the video above you will be able to choose from four different views to suit how you drive personally so you can get tips on lines to take and where to brake. Also feel free to watch the whole video with all views to get a different taste of things.
For me this challenge was the most fun. It took plenty of time to get used to a very different track compared to Monza and work out how to get the best from the car. My run is by no means perfect but my first lap in particular I was very pleased with. My second lap was distinctly average but enough. If you want tips on lines and how to drive, look at lap 1. Of vital importance are the two turns at 3:16 and the sequence at the beginning of the lap. Get those right and you'll be close to the time you need. Good luck!
Settings:
Automatic Gears
Skid Recovery On
ABS - 1
Brake Balance - 10 (front and rear)
Everything else off.
Using Driving Force GT
Final Times:
Gold Target - 2.08.000
Lap 1 - 1.03.145
Lap 2 - 1.03.991
Total - 2.07.136
