RC Airplane With Onboard Camera Flying at the Park Megatech

This is my old Megatech Merlin slow flyer in it's second flight video. The last video was in a different location with the camera facing the tail. Here it is flying over Lancaster County PA.

This is a great slow flyer. I taught myself to fly on this very plane. It has a 44" wingspan.

what power system did you use and what transmitter / receiver ?

It's all stock, a 280 brushed motor with 5 to 1 gear ratio, 12 X 8 slow flyer prop, and the radio is a stock megatech AM 72 mhz. The motor has since burnt out, so I'm going to replace it with a brushless outrunner.

It's a no name 4 GB spy pen camera bought on ebay for $23

At that price, the camera must have come with the 4GB on board. I bought a "key chain" camera (essentially the same camera) for $7 without external memory and a 4GB micro-flash for $10, both from ebay about 6 mo ago. Plan was to use it in a homemade infrared motion camera (by Kip Kay) but never got a "round to-it". Now, I think I will use it in a rc flyer :-)
