just listen to the whole kiss dynasty album and you will understand how good and creative Gene is as a bass player....the fact that he doesnt play crazy solos doent mean tha he is a bad bass player...

@kyusama347 Pick or no pick, different effects are created by different styles. Very little metal/hard rock can acheive the attack on the bass that's needed without a pick. Pickless playing as a criteria is just silly elitism.

I have to have my say - Gene's 'Horror' solo's are fabulous, because it's NOT about virtuosity, but more about mood and spectacle. That works great! And within the realms of a song, Gene is a very creative bass player, and i just LOVE his playing!! But, this is just bad on so many levels... (:o)
