Thank you. You just saved me a few bucks, and it took only 2-3 minutes. I used a Puralator and after it was installed it showed an even millimeter or so of clean white filter all the way around. The tabs WERE a little cranky, but due to @linehaul's previous comment, I watched the tabs carefully during disassembly. That helped to get it done quickly and correctly during reassembly.

Suntube1 is right. Pay attention to the new filter right angle corner when you take it out or it will be very hard to install the new filter. I also had hard time to install the cover on the back plastic tabs. Try not to force anything in or you can brake a plastic notch or something else. It will also work for 2009/2009 Camry's. I didn't even know where the engine air filter was. Any my Toyota dealer wanted to charge $60.00 to replace on my RAV4. The minute I saw your video I knew exactly where and what it looks like. I can do that. Thank YOU!...Now if I can only find a vid about changing the cabin filter and save another $60.

Note: I struggled for half hour not realizing that there is only one way the filter sits in right. Sure you have to be careful it is not upside down...

But, if you look at the filter, not all four corners are rounded. there is a protruded tab on one corner. This will point towards the front, left tire when placed right. Struggled putting cover back though I had the filter right side up.
