@SeanSEVE Obviously millions haven't died, that was me being sarcastic, as this video claims the whole west coast of north America was going to get at least 750 Rad of radiation.....that much would kill millions.
However, when it comes to buying stuff made near the effected area, it would be reassuring to know that you aren't getting exposed to any more radiation than you need to be.

@69aussieguy 1. "Millions of people" haven't died. In fact, the food in Hawaii, Canada, and California were low.
2. It is only from North Eastern Japan. Besides, everybody near the danger zone was evacuated. There is nobody making anything there.
3. A Geiger counter isn't necessary. As I said, there is low radiation, and anything possibly contaminated isn't in production.
4. Your car isn't radioactive. If it were, the radiation it would have received would be very low, and go away in a week/mont

OMG, how many people have died, must be millions by now.
On a more serious note, I may consider using a Geiger counter before buying anything from Japan.....I don't want to be driving around in a radioactive car for the next 10 years.
