@MyPinoy4ever That wasnt the point at all. The element of ridicule was directed at the posh English person in charge, and their sometimes skewed stereotypical views of immigrants and Northerners.
In mainstream British humour it would be unacceptable to mock a minority, and portray it with the ridiculous stereotypes which some people still hold.
That's why there's so much misunderstanding of humour, the irony and double-meaning gets lost in translation.

this is just typical reaction of filipinos from the philippines.. they get excited and show pinoy pride when they see a filipino on national air... however, if it shows something negative... the whole country riots with an uproar.. i know this because i am filipino.. and this is what i am ashamed of... "butt hurt flips who cant take jokes"

i just read this at filipino newspaper, i dont really found it offensive, in fact theres a lil bit reality about that specially filipino maids, most of them think their cool flirting like that with other races specially white people,im not surprise thats how western culture think about us and nothing is racist about that, what i found racist is the comment of other filipino by judging the girl how she looks and her skin color, for me thats racist.

We take the piss out of ourselves first then everyone else, wheres the harm!

What the hell is wrong with people? Chill the fuck out!

The joke was against how Northeners from the UK are racist, and even an attractive Filipina can't break their racist ways.

The funny thing is, watching this sketch I had no negative feelings about Filipinos at all.
Now seeing the retarded, ignorant reaction from so many Filipinos, I think they really are fucking morons...

GAGA MUKHA KA TLGANG TANGA KHIT BRITISH ACCENT KA

The sketch pokes fun at the kind of posh southerners who look down on Northerners and exploit Filipinos. Britain has a rich tradition of comedy that people in other countries often don't understand because they don't 'get' the subtle cultural references.

Hows this for offensive: - the phillippine government leads a country full of poofs who have no sense of humour and they just cant take it! Why dont they do a comedy show and take the piss out of us - the british? The difference is, we wouldn't give a shit and we would even find it funny and laugh at it! We wouldn't start a big debate about it! Some people just cant laugh at themselves. The major thing's, this WAS a joke against ourselves not phillippine people! We were laughin @ the northerner!
UNBE-FUCKING-LIEVABLE.
The wholly obvious idea of the sketch was to ridicule people who look down on Northern (English) people, and immigrants...
