I think most of us are missing the point.

The "Panzerlied" is meant as a patriotic marching song.It instilled a "Patriotic" feeling within the "Panzer Heer"before their Top Brass were Nazified. It is a truly inspireing tribute to the brave soldiers who were sacrificed on the fields of battle.

Most miss the point that one can admire a military war machine while not agreeing with the politics of the party behind it. If you visit a US armored unit I'd be surprised if you didn't see photos of German tank commanders, Rommel in particular.
