An inside joke will now be explained:
"Mr. Softee's trying to shut me down..." refers to the UNENDING presence of a Mr. Softee ice cream truck on every street corner.
Heck, you start from the Geo Washington Bridge and head south on Broadway and there seems to be one stationed on every street corner straight down to 137th!
Btw, guess where I from...
-
Its just a typical washington heights thing, i live there and its a drink with shaven ice, with a fruit juice. Its like a icie

A Piragua is a snow cone - shaved ice with flavored syrup poured over it

@Broadway611 ... from what I've heard, it's basically the Puerto Rican version of a sno-cone. Shaved/crushed ice with flavored syrup on top.

@sbarini I'm from The Heights and can attest that the musical was pretty accurate...and absolutely brilliant. I really hope that the film keeps to the spirit of the play and my neighborhood. The Heights is the most unique place in all of the five boroughs.

@TerribleGreenBlizzrd They better not cut it! That's why I'm nervous about the movie, they always cut stuff and change the story.... :(
