Haha this is solid. Way to go!

And see the added links in the description for a history of the term.

Again, more manufactured reasoning by RayMoose.
A search of "lipstick on an ugly broad" brings 0 google hits.
A google search of "lipstick on a pig" -obama -palin gives us 97,000 hits.
And again, the comment was made about McCain's policy of change and NOT about Palin. Give it up. You are wrong.

Let's try a simple analogy. Are you familiar with the concept of sexual harassment in the workplace? It doesn't matter how long or how many people of either sex have enjoyed a certain behavior in the workplace. As soon as the first person of either sex feels uncomfortable, the behavior must stop, as it IS sexual harassment. This is thier job to campaign for election. No matter how innocuous it might seem to you or others, as long as one person is offended it constitutes a transgression.

I have never participated or been the victim of it but yes I am familiar with the concept of sexual harassment.
But you are incorrect. A family member of mine was accused of sexual harassment in the workplace. At the end of the day, it was determined by everyone (including the lawyer of the person making the claim) that no harassment occurred and the other employee took what was said incorrectly.
But thanks for reminding me of that story, because it helped to prove my point.

The bottom line is this. Just because someone says that something is sexist, doesn't make it so.
What the McCain campaign and Republican Party are doing is attempting to repeat the same lie over and over again in hopes that it will mislead enough people into believing that it was sexist.
But it wasn't. Period. End of story.

One other point of interest "A google search of "lipstick on a pig" -obama -palin gives us 97,000 hits." Did you notice the significant denominators are Obama and Palin. If there was nothing to it, as you so vehemently allege than you wouldn't find many references to it either. The FACT that you do leads to the premise "where there is Smoke, there is Fire." If you wish (and I can't imagine you do) try looking up old jokes in your local Library, try the card catalog to speed up your search.

The reason that there are so many references to the lipstick/pig statement with Obama and Palin is because there are many Conservatives who falsely claimed that this remark was sexist. The republicans basically lit the fire and then screamed about the smoke!
Basically, what the Republicans did was the equivalent of posting something on Wikipedia and then using wikipedia as a source to "prove your claim".
And it is not my job to prove your claim. You asserted the reference, you prove it!

OMG if you can't find it on Google it must not exist. Learn to READ something other than Manga.

I had no idea what Manga was until you brought it up and I googled it.
You are stating that this "lipstick on a pig" is based off that old joke. Then prove it! Otherwise, I will believe the many other sources that I have seen that show this comment to be non sexist, especially in the context in which it was said.
