Permatang Pasir by-election on Aug 25

The Election Commission (EC) today fixed Aug 25 for the Permatang Pasir state seat by-election in Penang. Nominations will be on Aug 17.

The by-election will fall during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan.
Fasting is expected to begin on Aug 21.

EC chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, who made the announcement this morning, said the commission had to conduct the by-election during the fasting month as it was pressed for time.

However he said that only the last stage of the by-election would fall during the fasting month.The Election Commission (EC) today fixed Aug 25 for the Permatang Pasir state seat by-election in Penang. Nominations will be on Aug 17.

应该专业中立的SPR又一次把补选日定在工作日，还是星期二呢！

SPR的宗旨之一不是应该鼓励越多人出来投票也好的吗？

SPR不是指责民联制造补选劳民伤财的吗？

在外地的员工要投票必须请假不是影响到productivity­吗？

投票日交通阻塞不是影响到出门做生意和上班的人吗

老板必须放员工半天假去投票不是影响到生产吗？

SPR chose a Ramadhan day to disadvantage the oposition. They could have chosen any day before the month of ramadhan but they didnt.
