@m06een00 I didn´t mean to hurt anyone´s feelings with my comment, just acting overprotective to one of my favorite artists! To me PJ´s albums are all different creatures ,each one "best" in it´s own way and NO! i don´t measure musical quality in sold records!

@moparlarsson And how do you measure what is an artist's best album? It happens to be PJ's bestseller, and my personal favourite, although I have to say nearly all of the tracks on this album sound far better played live.

@moparlarsson i think you should stop worrying about whether or not its cool to like or not like something.

In an interview Polly said this album was a `flirt´ with the mainstream music industry! (She just wanted to see if she could `pull it off´) I think this says something about people that rate this as her best album!

I remember hearing a 30 second clip from "You Said Something" on a sampler for "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea". It was more than enough to make me go buy it. It's just such a beautiful, romantic song - sounds just like the beginning of a relationship.
First heard this.. alone in NY

Young in NYC w/ the girl I thought I would love intensely forever. Speaking over the beautiful noise of the city, & our own giddy inebriation. Handholding & waiting to cross the street leads to a silent magnetic pull we just go along with, & we move from the corner, embracing & kissing each other, as we become the only story in the Naked City. Her face illuminated by neon. Her breathing the only sound I hear over the sirens & buses. And her eyes, that I have just left the city to disappear into.
