Hollywood Bowl 2010 Finale with Jane Powell

The great Jane Powell, at 81, takes to the stage at The Hollywood Bowl to perform "A Most Unusual Day" with Pink Martini and The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and then speaks for a little bit before singing "Too Late Now" from her hit film "Royal Wedding".

I`m 65, so of course Jane was an inherent part of my 50`s childhood movie going (and later as I caught up with her earlier films, on television), along with her records.

Great that many of her recordings are now available on cd, and what a joy to see her perform here. Bless you Jane, and thanks for all the wonderful music over so many years!

Jane looks extremely good for 81 and her voice is no more soprano but still pleasant

very impressive - she has a nice voice for her age - she has only her lower register and has lost some breath control - but she still has a musical quality and is easy to listen to

I met Janie in 1951. she was very beautiful, charming and what a voice...I was at the Hollwood Bowl this past Sept.10th. She is still beautiful, charming and still has a great voice. She is 81...I still love you Janie !!!
