Scenes from Night Court episode. I discovered Ellen's albums via Hunter/Ronson connection - they produced and played on her Nightout album - what an amazing voice! Later I was glad to find out she was in this hilarious TV series (all season 2 except first 2 episodes).

  • This was when it was truly "Must See TV."

  • The Bronx Joker got it, didn't he?

  • I knew he paid them! I actually thought to myself "I bet he paid those kids", and Billie cut to the chase and my suspicions were confirmed! HAHA!

Anyone who reads this, please reply if I misspelled suspicions. Thank you.

  • Dan Fielding The walking Slag Heap

  • Grew up with Ellen in St. Louis.....she's still amazing

  • @ToiToiToiHerrKaleun I've never watched Will and Grace, but the 'cringing' you talk about was what made Night Court so good, especially for its time and time slot! Following "The Cosby Show," arguably the most successful 80's sitcom, and "Cheers," the legendary sitcom, NC had to stand out! And it was a brilliant peek into the justice system without being stuffy.

  • @ToiToiToiHerrKaleun you consider the Marx Brothers bad...and you like will and grace...I won't say that you have the comedic taste of one of those indie loving startbucks swilling elitists...but...well...you do

  • that guy in the audience you can always hear laughing cracks me up. He has the funniest laugh ever!

  • @ToiToiToiHerrKaleun, okay then. I think I had trouble understanding your original stance because your comparisons were so apples/oranges. By saying Will & Grace was better, then your point of view is more understandable. I myself never actually watched Will & Grace--and I think it could be argued that even within the genre of sitcoms there are different types, but I can appreciate your viewpoint more now.

I will say though, it's possible if you saw more NC episodes, it would grow on you.

  • @WastedPo how about will & grace? a sitcom performed in front of a live studio audience. comdey. a great show that doesnt make one cringe like night court does.
