If she ran out of petrol (benzin) she must have exhausted the reserve tank.

After additional review of period photos of J1s, my assertion that this MG was a "D" was certainly incorrect. This does indeed appear to be a J1. Thanks again for posting.

The car belong to me Even Ibsen - and was originally imported by my grandfather in 1932 as the first MG car in Denmark.
It is a model J1 - and not as stated by Mr. 1loosetooth a D - a D has straight doors and a smaller engine than the J1 - please change your comments Mr. 1looseftooth ;-)
