Rotoscoping in Sony Vegas

First 8 seconds are rotoscoped then the rest of the video I used New Wave CartoonR effect.

Took me about 5 hours to rotoscope the first 107 frames, which is about 8 seconds.

pretty awesome. But i cant see how you did rotoscoping in the 1st 8secs. Did you have multiple layers or something? The outlines you made how? Thanks man

I rotoscoped using gimp. I did not draw or trace each picture out by hand but I did do a frame by frame outline using gimp. There is a faster process using batch rendering in photoshop. I did not own photoshop when I did this!

Did you install the CartoonR plugin on Sony Vegas? It is real easy to use, just adjust it to the level of cartoon you want. I also added some other effects such as radial blurand and glow. Just play around with it until you seem to like it.

My ps3 camera does all of that....i just need to figure out how to change the format so can use it other than on ps3. i heard apple had a program out there not sure if it was legal or not...
