Playing some more in construct and expanding on the Platform Object by adding state based animations, so the features should be endless. Not much super stuff yet but it does have:

Jumping, double jumps, charged jump (which can add a double jump on the end), ducking, crawling, pushing objects(although when an object falls it's still very buggy), idle animations and injuries due to falling too far.

The pause at the start is me waiting for the idle animation to start.

Scirra Construct is a open source game creator and can be found here http://www.scirra.com/.

Thanks to Deadeye for his Platform tutorial and to everyone on the forums for their help (direct & indirect).

  • this is pretty simple but it looks really great!

  • Hey, you're welcome! :D

I think I've seen this video before but I wasn't logged in to comment. So here you go.

  • nice......thanks

  • It's just a one frame sprite with a blur effect added. When the character jumps every X ticks it spawns the blurred sprite at it's current x & y postition, then the sprite fades away.
