"Sonata in 3 Visions" ( 1996 ) for Harp has been chosen as a Israeli Required Composition at XIII International Jerusalem Harp Contest ( 1998 ) after a composer has won a Composition Competition . There were many harpists of the Contest who played this Sonata . Nevertheless ( as to me) Helvia Briggen ( Nice , France ) was the best harpist who has performed this "Sonata" much closer to my conception .
As a result H. Briggen ( in my opinion - a remarkable musician ) continued playing my pieces after that contest and she has played already many other my compositions including "Waterscape" which has been written and dedicated to her ( published - Editions Orhpee - USA ) .
The whole clip is illustrated by the paintings of Wieslaw Sadurski ( Poland-Germany ) .
This Sonata suits good to the Harp repertoire !

Mr. Freidlin, you make the harp more interesting and facinating instrument than it usualy sounds.
Your harmonies are a world apart and I like to travel in this world of sounds that you created with a lot of love and imagination. Micha

Striking, unusual, unlike other compositions used for the Harp Contest. But still a workout of technique and expression.
