I Can't Believe I Kidnapped Her A Jemi Story Chapter 45

Wow, it's been exactly 2 months since I posted the last one and I apologize for that. I thought I more posted then what I actually did so yeah...I think I'll post more today too.

Joe: They're catching up to David.
Demi: David?! Wh-where is he?
Joe: He's on the other side of the road. Like he was waiting for us or something...he must have known we'd end up driving.
Demi: Joe, even an idiot could figure out we wouldn't run away on foot when we have a perfectly good car to use.
Joe: Oh be quiet.
Demi: So...what happens now?
Joe: Demi, even an idiot could figure out what we'd do now...and that's getting the heck away from David.
Demi: *glares at him*
Joe: What? Now you know how I feel..
Demi: Just. Keep. Driving.
Joe: *looks in the mirror again* Uh oh. They're turning to follow us.
Demi: Well I didn't think they wouldn't.
Joe: Did I really aggravate you that much?
Demi: Stop.
Joe: No I--
Demi:--Joe, stop! The light's red!
Joe: OH! *slams on the brakes. turns to look at Demi*
Demi: *still glaring at him*
Joe: *gives her an innocent smile*
Demi: *leans her head on her hand, up against the window* Great. Now they're gonna catch up to us.
Joe: I know! *taps impatiently on the wheel* Will this ever change?!
Demi: Relax.
Joe: Oh my gosh...
Demi: What?
Joe: *whispers, in a freaked out tone* They're right behind us...
Demi: *looks back and sees David & his boys glaring at her. Immediately turns back around* Yeah.
Joe: I just...I thought we got away from them.
Demi: *confused* Within a matter of minutes...?
Joe: No I mean, you know, from the last time we saw them. We were David-free for so long. And now...we're back at it...
Demi: Yeah...that is disappointing...
Joe: ERGH! I'm really not in the mood for a car chase.
Demi: It's not gonna be much of a car chase. Considering they're right on our tail. And there are two more stoplights ahead.
Joe: I hate stoplights...
Demi: Yep...*nods and looks up* It's green.
Joe: What's the point...?
Demi: You have to go anyway Joe, it's the law.
Joe: Right. *starts driving again*
They go through the next stoplight, and then the next one.
Joe: How close are they to us? *looks in his rearview mirror*
Demi: *looks back* Joe.
Joe: What?
Demi: Check it out...They got stopped!
Joe: They did?
Demi: Yeah, back at that stoplight.
Joe: I love stoplights!
Demi: Okay, okay. Before we get too excited we've gotta get out of here. So they can't catch up to us.
Joe: Right....okay. *keeps driving, taking random turns, not knowing where he's going but just trying to get lost*
After several minutes...
Joe: You see them?
Demi: No. I think we're good. I think we lost them.
Joe: *lets out a breath of relief* That's great....
Demi: So...where are we...?
Joe: I'm not quite sure. Either we're in a part of town I've never seen or we're out of town.
Demi: Well...find some place to stop, I'm getting hungry.
Joe: *looks at the clock* Yeah...it's getting late. Last time we ate was breakfast.
Demi: Just keep driving, there's gotta be someplace around here.
Joe: *keeps on driving, until he spots something* There's a motel over there. Wanna stop?
Demi: I don't care.
Joe: *pulls over into the motel's parking lot & stops the car* All righty. Let's check it out.
