The Song of Songs are a poem inspired by God the Spirit, a marriage song, between Shulamit woman (Bride / Church) and the young beautiful Shepherd (Bridgroom / Christ). King Solomon appears in the text, only as a metaphor, on the royal bridgroom. Song of Songs is not a historical book, but about poetry, symbolism and emotion. God wants intimacy with His people...throughout the Bible He refers to us as His Bride and Queen...enjoy and enter in to this spontaneous dance directed to our Groom and King....For the Bride has made herself ready...(Rev. 19: 7-9 )
.....have we?
God is represented as the Husband. Israel, His people, are the Wife; sometimes faithful, sometimes errant.
Isaiah 54:5 — For thy Maker is thine Husband; the Lord of hosts is His Name, and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall He be called.
Isaiah 62:5 — And as the Bridegroom rejoiceth over the Bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

The Poem is commonly referred to as Song of Songs (Hebrew, שיר השירים, Shir ha-Shirim). It is known as Āisma in the Septuagint, which is short for Āisma āismatōn (Greek, ᾎσμα ᾀσμάτων, "Song of Songs").
