Here is a video of me crossing the state line from Wisconsin into Michigan. In this video, you get a tour of Menominee, Michigan especially of the construction zone on US-41. Towards the end of the video, youll notice that parts of US-41 look like the Panama Canal and have enough water where you could put a canoe in there if you wanted to.
I was there Nov. of last year and loved my stay nice town and nice people showed this Arkansas Boy a great time.

Michigan is the worst state to ever live in

@HardKore5250 I grew up in Menominee. There were a lot of strikes at the foundrys so instead of caving into the demands the company closed its doors and moved to Mexico for cheaper labor. Tosumitup has it right...if you don't have the right last name or know of someone you will not get a job. I got the hell out of there years ago and have made myself opportunities I would have never had living back there. Nice people nice weather in the summer but that's about it!

I've been through there a few times heading up north from Milwaukee, and I know a few people in the area. I've asked the same questions you have, and they all told me they were getting the hell out of there as soon as they could because of lack of work. It's only a few hours for Packer games and I can catch a Brewer's game anytime I want. :)

@HardKore5250 people are kinda snobby, pretty much like everywhere else. It's a good place to raise kids or retire in I guess. If your looking for work, you can forget it. If you don't have the right last name or connections you'll NEVER find work. We are in the "banana belt", but we still get decent snowfall. Nothing like up north in Marquette though. Only 56 miles from Green Bay, Wi. 4 distinct seasons.
