The most comfortable boots I've owned but unfortunately they aren't the greatest for longevity. Had two pairs now and both times the soles have started to separate in exactly the same place in the space of a year. Second pair started to split across the toes on one boot but not the other even though they are regularly treated with Nikwax and this isn't acceptable considering their cost. Wouldn't recommend these at all

Full leather and gore-tex membrane... Ugghhh. I will stick with my Scarpa SL M3s lol. Gore-tex is nice on a boot that has a combination of leather/synthetic but on a FGL boot it leaves alot to be desired in regards to breathability. If properly maintained a non membrane model will be just as water proof as a model with gore-tex plus your boots aren't sweat boxes.

I bought these boots and highly recommend them to all serious walkers/outdoor enthusiasts. It was either these, the meindl island or the lowa mountain gtx for me. Tip : buy from cotswolds who sell for £175 but ask them to price match Rutland outdoors and get them for £139 but still have Cotswolds warrenty and service. They sell alot of gear Cotswolds do actually so the price match thing will be getting used alot now by me and maybe some Youtube users now?

If you are looking for some boots that will take you everywhere in the outdoors - except above the snowline - BUY THESE BOOTS i say again BUY THESE BOOTS
Right price, quality material,waterproof,great sole. If you look after them , trust me - They will look after you .
