This is definitely astonishing, but I have one that I really treasure no doubt.

This is one of the most spiritually-'correct' versions of this awesome composition. Horowitz is really a genius at improvising, and not just, but carrying the character throughout, and most importantly demonstrating HIMSELF through the whole music!. I am just in AWE! However, I have found one that doesn't show the pianist at his best 'spiritual-level', but shows the direction he is always getting at, and speaks very very much to me.

WOW!!! ...This piece has been butchered so much by pianists that if it were a dart board it would be totally crumpled into dust.
IT'S ALL RIGHT HERE.THE BALANCE OF THE EBB AND FLOW,THE WILD MOOD CONTRASTS,THE COLORS,
THE SPIRITUAL FOCUS.Absolutely fabulous.
There could be different fabulous versions,but none could be more fabulous.
Normally this piece is a rhetorical and expressive "Kreisis",but not here.
