Putting away many Liberty apples today.. a fast way is using the apple slicer peeler and corer . This will make storing apples for the winter fun.

I freeze my apples for winter, plus make a few apple pies and freeze them too, nice to have in the cold winter months.

Everything goes in quart bags and freeze them, then I can go to the freezer anytime pull one or two out and make apple crisp, apple pie, applesauce whatever calls for apples, very handy.

the brand name of this apple peeler corer is Universal

"storing apples" "fall apples" "harvesting apples" "apple peeler" "apple slicer" "apple corer" "freezing apples" "liberty apples" diane mumm "picket fence greenhouse" iowa gardening "universal apple peeler slicer corer" "best way to store apples" "preserving fruit" "storage of apples"

  • I place the apple where the stems comes out against the prongs.. another way of saying is the top of the apple toward the prongs, hope that makes sense..:)

  • nice !! hey can you freeze apple pie ?

  • @akuhiroshi , yes you can , I have done it , in fact I have several I made while using the sliced apples.

  • You said to put "this end" of the apple on the prongs first. Which end is that, the Stem end or blossom end?
