the best kiss I have ever seen on screen. Between Renee Zellweger and Vincent D'Onofrio in the movie "The Whole Wide World", portraying Novalyne Price and Robert E. Howard.

Some little facts behind this kiss, it was a one shot kind of a deal. There was not enough time/daylight to take another shot, so the director set up the cameras so they can film the kiss from all sides. So yes, this kiss is all one thing and it is not cut and edited from other takes.

For the first try (and only try) I say it's damn good.

  • It's the best when he first turns in and kisses her, after that it's just like they are trying to eat each others faces.

  • Did you know that when Renee Zellweger won her Oscar, she thanked Vincent for "Teaching her how to work" if that's work sweetie I'd love all the overtime needed to get it right!! ;-)

  • VDO?? Yeah, well my guess is you weren't alive before John Wayne died and I have friends who knew him, also friends who knew George Peppard. I wouldn't put too much stock in what people say. I haven't seen "The Carpetbaggers" in years and years, I remember they tried to get as many stars into it as possible. "The Blue Max" was and continues to be one of my favorite movies ever! In fact, it may be just about time to watch it again "and Bruno, show us some real flying!"

  • @johnny01031955 Don't believe what you hear. Unless you are ready to believe the kind of man John Wayne was. And, I'd love to kisss George Peppard just as much you'd like to kiss Ursula. And, try to watch the Carpetbaggers. Shows what kind of an actor Peppard was. Caroll Baker is a sexier, more soultry Nicole kindman of the sixties...

As for VDO... I have NEVER seen an actor kissing like that! Yeah!!!

  • I have a copy of "The Blue Max" and remember seeing it as a kid for a birthday party. I like George Peppard despite what I've heard about him and as for Ursula Undress? I STILL feel it should have been me kissing her! However, my choices for best kiss "ever" remain as stated and are the obvious-and correct-choices!

  • @johnny01031955 As far as classik kisses go, watch George Peppard (absolutely hunky) kissing Ursula Andress to oblivion in Blue Max (given the movie is in the sixties and she is wearing two napkin-sized towels and nothinge else...) not to mention his kissing-rant in Carpetbaggers with Caroll Baker...

    and still... this... is AWESOME!!!

  • i thought the score was familiar! Harry Gregson-Williams score here is almost the same to Bridget Jones' Diary: Edge of Reason where he also did the original music. :)

  • Only D'onofrio can pull one like that , Ed norton could do it but Vincent ......wow

  • OK - ring-tailed bandicoot - yeah those kisses are great too - I love older movies - but like RasberryBop - FLIP FLOP!!!!!!

  • If that's the best kiss ever than I'm a ring-tailed bandicoot! Try the kiss in "Rear Window" between Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart or the one in "The Quiet Man" with Maureen O'Sullivan and John Wayne! THOSE are kisses, Rennee Zelwegger couldn't kiss shipwrecked sailor...

  • Now that is a KISS! Best one EVER!!!
