Permission To Kill (aka The Executioner) is a spy drama filmed in Austria starring Dirk Bogarde, Ava Gardner, Bekim Fehmiu and a young Timothy Dalton. Bogarde plays a brutal Western Intelligence Agent trying to prevent an exiled leader from returning to his own country. He assembles a group of the man's old friends and contacts to dissuade him from returning. They soon learn that Bogarde's character will stop at nothing to complete his assignment.

This movie was filmed a few years after Tim was first approached to play Bond and he was right -- he was too young for the part in the 70's. He is around thirty here and looks twenty and quite boyish. Enjoy, and please comment!

  • I know this is going to sound weird, but I find Timothy Dalton much more attractive now than when he was this young...Not, you understand, that I am complaining! Timothy Dalton is, was, and will always be...awesome. And I mean that word in its original meaning: Awe-inspiring....And, please, 212 views????!!!! WHY?

  • @maygoodcometous1 I agree! Tim is almost too pretty in his early films (hence, all the gay roles). The older he gets, the more masculine and attractive he becomes.

  • Thanks so much for the upload. I love Sir Dirk Bogarde:D

  • @JaliscoDeOjosHazel You're very welcome :D Was he ever considered to play James Bond?

We, Sir Bogarde followers, would've LUVED that had happened. Sir had everything in order to make one of the best 007's. And nope, to my knowledge, he never considered the thought of playing Bond, James Bond; but he made a very fun espionage film called Agent 8 3/4 (Hot Enough For June). It is a fun homage to all those James Bond movies:D
