Helen Meldrum and Dhaval Dave: Health Care: Can accountability be taught?

Dhaval Dave, associate professor of Economics, focuses his research in the area of health care economics. A faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, Dave publishes in various journals including Health Economics, Health Care Finance and Economics, and Economic Inquiry. Helen Meldrum, associate professor of Psychology, approaches issues related to health care from the provider perspective. In her most recent book, Characteristics of Compassion: Portraits of Exemplary Physicians, Meldrum investigates what motivates and inspires our best doctors. Both researchers are looking at ways to improve our health care system.
