I am no way a jazz player but I wanted to post something to at least show that the Club amp sounds great for jazz. It has a nice clear and warm sound. It is easy to carry because it is small and only 22lbs. They will be available soon here: http://www.ztclubamp.com/

  • Billy,

Was it necessary to drill any new holes to mount the Bigsby?I used to play an ES-150 DC back in 1969 and as with the 175 the neck is really narrow in the first position. This is fine for jazz chord and solo work but it definitely does not lend to the twangy country or blues string bends I do so much now.

But that still didn't stop me from loving the 175 I tried in the store. The sound and playability was just great, and the way yours is set up is beautiful.

  • @HOUNDDAWG Yes. I had to drill 3 small holes near the strap button to mount the Bigsby. No other holes however. -Billy

  • Thats exactly what i need. Can u do a demo?

I use a lot of picking dynamics and i need the amp to respond. U can check the uploaded vids in my profile to see what kind of sound im after. I dont need a lot of gain ...just the amp breaking up a bit.

  • @bebenavole There are two demos on my channel. Check them out and let me know if that's what you are talking about. -Billy

  • how is the overdrive on this amp?

  • @bebenavole The overdrive is nice...not very gainy. More like a bluesy overdrive with dynamics. -Billy

  • Wow. That sounds like a great amp for my R&B and jazzy blues stuff. And so portable!

I play on archtop equipped with Gibson P-90's. I wonder how the ZT Club sounds

with P-90's! Can you make a vid of that too?

  • @300guitars Yeah man, your sound is beautiful. There are plenty of copy katz playing the circuit with that choked up/no treble/smoky jazz club tone. You have a recognizable ear candy style that's you, and that is what's really important.

  • @300guitars Outstanding and thank you.

  • does this thing have a gain channel, by the way very pretty !!
