@BehindTheHarleyShop ahhh, i liked dr. burke's character too..i wish they kept him..and also i didn't buy his relationship with izzy either..that was just weird

omg..i didn't even know that's why he quit..i didn't even know he was gay! NOOOOO!!! he was my favorite character ):

I'm so sad he left. I understand is choice but he was a great atribute to the show. He will be missed.

Should he have stayed duh hello. . . am i glad he left YES his character was getting on my nerves I hated where they took him after he married Callie and I didn't buy the relationship with Izzy . . . I just wish they had kept Dr. Burke since TR ended up leaving anyways!

I think they made the decision and he's saying it was his. It's trendy for straight men to play a gay character but doesn't work if it's the other way around, all the women lose their hard-ons.

As a fan of the show, I thought that the writers really screwed with his character. I hated how they had him get married so suddenly and then cheat on his wife! It's just not something I feel his character would have done. Wouldn't it have made more sense if George fooled around with another guy on the show? I think I personally would have been VERY tempted by that money, but I respect his decision to walk away. Many people would have sold out their integrity and beliefs for 14 million bucks!

I used to love the show... but the writing starting SUCKING a couple seasons ago so I quit watching it. The character of George became ridiculous. Useless. He must have been miserable, and then he had those problems with what's his name (dr. burke). That's a lot of money to pass up but hopefully he's socked away some of the money he's already made and will be able to make more elsewhere.

Three years of feeling like shit isnt worth it he made the right choice.
just three years for 14 million?! omg. tough it out and get the money. that's not selfish and he could always donate some of it to a charity. my opinion-bad decision T.R.
