Theme from Lupin III '97, somewhat darker and more serious version, which was used very effectively in the dramatic opening of 1997 TV Special "Walther P-38" (us title : Island of Assassins). Enjoy.

Well, that would apply to "criminals who care" like Lupin. He did have quite some dear people die on him in several episodes or TV specials. Lupin was angry in this feature, he looked even angrier in 2005 TV special "Angels' Tactics".

@DudeL26710 that was a "crime doesn't pay" message. Even if you are a "super criminal" like Lupin III, that is, never get caught, never get arrested, or cut down by rival crooks, even if you survive the crime life, you have to live with your conscience namely the people who DIDN'T make it. Try to imagine being a "survivor" criminal; the ghosts of those who don't make it haunt you, the way Elen will likely haunt Lupin after he retires.
