Tokyo Babylon 1999 RAW (1/7)

This is the live action sequel to CLAMP's popular manga series, Tokyo Babylon. It was made in 1993 and is very difficult to find these days, since there are only a few VHS copies floating around. There is a torrent available, but in the interests of as many people being able to see it as possible, I thought I would upload it in parts here on YouTube.

Storywise, it is set between the end of Tokyo Babylon and the beginning of X (therefore obviously it contains BIG FAT SPOILERS for the end TYOB). The storyline is original, though it's kind of similar to the story about the group of girls on the party line who are messing around with magic which appears about halfway through the manga. As for the movie itself, it's really, really low-budget. XP

It was directed and written by Iida Jouji and Ohkawa Ageha (of CLAMP). It stars Tonesaku Toshihide as Subaru and Shihoudou Wataru as Seishirou.

I was shock to find that the rumors of a LIVE Movie of Tokyo Babylon is actually real!

Through I am a bit dissapointed at how...bad it is. Through its about Subaru and Siehsirou so that makes up for the bad quality XD

Anything to do with Tokyo Babylon is good :P

I am also sad becasue I can't understand japanese :(

I hope that someone out there can translate it for us desperate and non-japanese speaking fans. ^_^ You would be worsipped as a GOD!

There is a website which has a detailed plot summary of the movie and is attempting to get a translated script and possibly subtitles done. The link is at the bottom of my very loooong description of the video.

It is pretty bad ... though there are some interesting moments towards the end if you are able to get that far. It's also easier to get through once you read the summary and can figure out exactly what is going on.
