This is the Beryl 3D-desktop for Linux running on the Debian Linux distribution. This is shown running on an older, single-core PC. Since I'm recording this video on the same PC as the demo, it's a lot more sluggish than normal. Usually Beryl runs smooth as glass, even when the system is under a very high workload. Viva la Linux! :)
Yes, it's normal for a Linux desktop to be pretty, so my video is nothing special. I merely link to this video in my sig from forums, so that people unacquainted with that fact can see that a free OS can also be beautiful in addition to fast, reliable and secure. :)
