Perry

I had to make a road trip for work today and on the way back I took route that went through Perry Iowa.

I took some video around the historic downtown and had some fun messing around with effects on some of the video.

Are you kidding me? Now this place is nothing but mexican hell! there is mexicans everwhere who trash it ALL. I would leave here in a heartbeat!

I can assure you I was not kidding.  I really was there and really did make a video and really messed with effects on the editing tools.

I am not sure what the number of Mexicans has to do with my video or not though but I wasn't kidding about anything.

I lived in the building 2nd floor at .21. that was in my college days. Nice for 75 a month in early 70's. Got Married in the church at .59. Saint Pats as my son did many years later.If the buildings could only talk. Some really great people have lived in Perry. Thanks for posting

They have done a decent job of renovating areas of the town. If I got up close on some of the buildings there is a lot of work that still needs to be done but the old buildings are interesting.

kid fox; i believe the Sculpture represents George Soumas long time mayor in Perry, I knew him back when. but earlier I believe he was a Captain with Patton in the tanks in Germany. Look it up under his name their is more to it.perry never had a dodger hotel nor a Hungery Eye.

I don't think I ever got off the highway before going through Perry. I was heading back from Fort Doge, I should have taken some video in a few towns now that I think of it sort of give people an idea what small town Iowa is like.
