The story of a Saree is a two thousand year old romance. It links an ancient north Indian Terracota of a woman wearing this simple garment to the sarees created by twentieth- century Paris designers. Every geographical spread in India boasts of different Saree patterns, weaves, designs and motifs which again are determined by the cultural history of that region. SIX YARDS OF GRACE is a celebration of the Indian Saree-primarily focusing on the regions in India that produce the world's most beautiful hand-crafted sarees.

    Sari has a history older then five thousand years..Indus valley carvings and dolls are all sporting sari even the dancing girl the icon of indus valley civilization ., original on display in Dehli museum ..best movie about sari..Kanjivaram a south Indian movie about the weaver and his gift to his daughter...
