The SNES version is infinitely better than the PSP one. It isn't corny. It dodges bad dialogue and adds a mystique to Vile. Vile is just a bounty hunter, not some loser who wants to "change the world" and "prove himself" or whatever.
He condescends to Megaman in this, but in the PSP says: "I hate how you underestimate me." Who gives a fuck.
And Vile's escape is cooler in this. And X and Zero don't have a fag moment in this.

Vile was more mysterious in the SNES version as well as more vicious in X3.

I think we've all tried a haduken on Vile to see if it did anything. Still, I give your props.

@antney66 well, yeah, it's supposed to be a hopeless boss fight
Notice that it does knock him back a lot farther than anything else though

i still wished they had the whole vile sigma scene in hunter x it would of been more epic

9:14 X:NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WANT TO DDDIIIEE!!! IM A ROBOT!!! HELP!!

Somehow I feel sorry for Vile... He wants so bad to defeat X, like he says in the PSP remake of X1, he feels he can't validate his own existence before he does. If he had gotten over it and helped them instead I would have been happier.

SNES version is waaay better in everything...sound effects, music, and I even prefer the SNES graphics as well.

I agree, I prefered Vile in the SNES version. But there was a great advantage in the PSP one, you can play as him, which is awesome. :D
What does vile say in the first fight in X3? The bad quality makes it hard to read. Though other than that, this is what I was looking for.
