I hope this was worth my insane effort, including uploading this with a dial-up connection at an internet cafe in the middle of nowhere!

My name is Trevor, I live in Upstate New York, and this is a question aimed at any one of the presidential candidates. I am a U.S. citizen.

I often don't understand the Americans in their stubborn insistence that the entire Universe, incl. the Goauld and the Jaffa, MUST speak English, or.....

I grew up in the small Serbia of very mixed parentage. By the age of 5 I was fluent in four languages, and by 30  I have fully mastered 8, wrote in the University,etc... Now I feel old to learn more, but I try to keep alive those I feel I own. Young friends, learn as many as you can, and rule the world.....after all, it is yuors............

i am mexican and i live in mexico, i come here to speak as a brother , what makes us different is the language we speak, but we all are humans, why do we have to figth?

bad services? in buenos aires? once i got food poisoning, we went for a check up. the doctor was nice and he gave us the prescriptions to get the medicine. another time my mom was hospitalized for 2 months, she had everything checked up, all for free. now i live in the US. i havent been to a hospital since i left argentina, i cant even go there. since we still owe more than 1000 dollars for my brothers injury. well about my bf, i just try not to think about it. ty for your concern anyways :)

We are never going to chance to speak spanish, its a crappy language anyway, english is and will always be the best, fuck all other languages.

Great question. I speak English, Spanish, and French. I would like to learn Dutch and Portuguese. I think Americans who know only one language have insulated themselves too long with one language. I think it is almost impossible for them to regain one-language dominance. Who would have thought that Spanish-language television would beat out CBS in ratings over certain periods. But being multilingual in a multicultural society is definitely a global plus.

Create a new language that is a medley of all languages (so everyone is happy). Next, incorporate the synthetic language AND your country's native language into education systems, then everyone can communicate with everyone else while maintaining national autonomy.

If yall want Americans to reach out and learn about the rest of the world, then why just the Spanish-speaking world? If you want to communicate with the largest number of people *around the world*, English is the way to do it, at least right now.

This video is talking about dealing with life inside the USA. AFAIK The US is the only place where Spanish is the #1 foreign language learned. In the world, English holds that title.

excuse me but i dont remember being an illegal alien. i have been an american citizen since birth and although im proud of my american birth, i am also just as proud of my mexican heritage, and there are alot more like me out there. so please dont generalize and say that all spanish speaking folks are illegal, cause thats how youre making it sound.
