Hi Dawn how are you? I am an almost qualified jazz dance teacher. I was in London last week training in Pineapple and it re-lit my passion to become a dancer. As that's what I intended but got persuaded to teach. So I want to dance in London, biggest aspiration is to perform on the west end? I worry that my teacher is hindering my own technique and skills. Just looking for advice! If you could get back to me that would be great thanks. Debbie

forget the last comment about music licensing, so dancemass is covered. Something else though is promoting business online is great if you have the money to pay for search engines. Big companies are taking over and employing all the best dance teachers and making money out of them when they could use their own initiative instead of being exploited by companies that only really care about business and money and share no real passion with what they're doing..my little rant! Hi Dawn, you have some great ideas but if driving whilst using a mobile phone is illegal, then surely driving whilst holding a cam corder for 6 mins+ has got to be a really bad idea. stay safe!!

I am concerned that I cant afford my own studio to rehearse and paying 3/4 pound evrytimne i want an hour of dance isnt doable. like the person below i would like to do some west end performance. I am also interested in contemporary choregraphy.

Popular music can attract people2 learn a routine,performed to a particular song making it more appealing, so the whole music licensing thing was my concern through dancemass .Also, I've danced at various events/parties 4free bcos it's what I love, but u only come across these if you're lucky/with an agency/in London. I don't have a dance network as such &presently out of the loop due to burn out&illness but a forum to find out about freestyle podium dancing at events/paid work would b great! x
