Finally a show where it's REAL and most americans can relate to it. In this show, they actually have real life problems. Not like in Desperate Housewives where they always look perfect and have perfect houses and they make a tragedy about petty shit. I love Shameless.

I myself have not watched the original UK Shameless yet, but I adored the first season of the US version. Also, I don't see why people have this need to compare the two so much and then start using the countries as excuses. No, it doesn't matter what country it's from. It also doesn't matter if it's the original or adaptation. The only thing that matters is which one you prefer, and you can state your opinion like an adult, without cursing and coming up with ridiculous insults.

Just finished season one,, Best fucking show on TV. I love it because it's non-PC. The lines that comes out of Macy's mouth is fucking halarious!!!!!

@coqoi you do realise that actually most of the storylines and lines are actually the same. I love both so i really don't want to get angry with you but you can't say UK humor is garbage and American is way funnier because the storyline is exactly the same in the UK version.

The British Shameless was good up to serie 5/6. After the departure of Debbie, Ian, Lip and Liam, Shameless UK was not Shameless anymore. It was supposedly about the Gallagher family and ended up talking about so many characters that it was hard to follow. UK version will always have a special place in my heart but I prefer right now the US version that brings back the basics and the main plot that went missing on the UK version for close to 2/3 years. So I guess the two shows are DIFFERENT.

@MrTEKKEN123456 There are original shows. Britain remakes and puts a fresh spin on things, too. Does Sherlock and New Doctor Who (the new series is just a continuation so it's not really original) ring a bell?
