A little girl living on an isolated ranch claims to have formed a bond of friendship with a pure white, "wild" stallion. The horse is well known in the area, almost legendary, and supposedly vicious. Is she just making it up, or is she telling the truth? If it's real, isn't it dangerous for her with a "killer" horse? Or is the horse as vicious as he's been portrayed? (Summary courtesy Molly Malloy)

This is a high resolution version (however original print compromised)

  • I don't know what possessed me to google this tonight but I am glad I did. Thanks for giving a heads up about July 30. I have not seen this movie in over 40 years. I am looking forward to seeing it again. Thanks for sharing!

  • good god, i know all the words to this theme song.

  • Phillip Creeper, THANK YOU!!! It's too early to set the DVR but I can set some reminders in iCal to make sure I record this movie. Seriously, for years I thought I dreamed this memory... Can't wait to see it! It seems to have affected innumerable budding equestrians in the early 60s, even Jessica Jahiel! Hope everyone gets a chance to see it and that it's half as good as the golden 50-year-old memory.

  • If you missed it in May it will be repeated on TCM on July 30 at 9:30 A.M. EST! Please double check your local tv guide for the time in your area. If the time isn't convenient set those recorders. This is a great family movie. Don't miss it.

  • For all who get TCM channel, their guide states that this movie will air 5/17/11 at 2AM. Set your DVR's!!!!

  • Please please release this movie again! I have searched for it and was told that it was in a vault for the past 50 years.

  • I have not seen an image from this movie in more than 40 years! I didn't even know it was in color as I saw only part of it once on a black and white TV. My best friend and I were the kinds of girls who played with Breyer horses, not dolls. After this movie, we argued over which of us would get to name our Breyer horse Snowfire. Since we were at her house when we saw it, she won. I have carried mental black and white images of the albino Snowfire standing on the cliff since that time. I often w

  • This movie stuck with me forever. It was fabulous!

  • I loved this film so much as a little girl that I named my first horse Snowfire. My Snowfire would talk to me too. I would love to have a copy of the movie.

  • I love horses and when I was a kid I saw this movie at the show. I wanted Snowfire so bad. He was a magnificent horse! I just loved him. Nice to see him again!
