Victory In Jesus performed by The Don Marsh Chorus and Orchestra from the album, America's 25 Favorite Old Time Gospel. Composer, Eugene Monroe Bartlett Senior (1885-1941) was born on Christmas Eve of 1885. He dedicated his life to Jesus at an early age. Years later, as a very successful business man, he decided to invest his money into founding the Hartford Music Company and Music Institute.Bartlett is considered a founding father of Southern Gospel music, and he was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1979. Throughout his 56 years of life, he composed more than 800 songs, including Everybody Will Be Happy Over There, and Just a Little While to Stay Here. He wrote the words to his last hymn in 1939 - Victory in Jesus.

This song has a very special meaning for me. On Apr 18, 2011 I was in a nursing home, I'd been there since Nov 2009. I'd had to learn to walk again after a fall and some complications. My 9 yr old son was visiting me that day as he was on spring break. He got there as our Monday morning church service was almost over. The pastor closed with this song. Then my son and I went and ate our lunch then went to PT. My PT decided that was the day I walked for the 1st time in 3yr. So vs 2 is special!
