This is just dumb. Electric and electronic machines are much more reliable than mechanical ones - the parts are not likely to fail and if they do, you just replace the part. You don't get a technician to repair the hard drive in your computer - they fit a new one and its not particularly difficult for someone who is properly trained.

This is a ridiculous video. Seriously. The repair issues create better jobs for mechanics. My mechanic is trained in hybrid electric technologies.
Also, the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle market will be great for resolving the Prius problems (excluding the brakes).
New technology = less service
People will be there to fix the car and more importantly nothing is wrong with the mechanics learning how to fix a hybrid or electric.
