@OrmEmber Bullshit... we were there 100 years ago. An electric car with proper batteries can beat a gasoline car even at higher speeds. Here, this electric car is like putting the equivalent of a 1,6 atmospheric gasoline engine. Don't you know that electric cars have limit factors to make them more safe otherwise they have endless torque and acceleration?

Now, average people drive in traffic jams and the electric car is the ideal solution.

Built it and make it affordable.

if some body have question about, torque and acceleration ,from eletric motor , take in base a bullet train speed up to 170 mph ---se alguem tem duvida, sobre forca e velocidade,de motores eletricos , tome por base o trem bala do japao quantos vagoes ele nw carrega e com velocidades acima de 280 km!! por hora

@nickrulez809765 its called the X1, its based off the chasis of the 1st ariel atom with the 4 cylinder supercharged honda engine, all they did was switch the engine out with a high power electric motor its a good platform to start out with though

@xifomahos1 I'm talking about engine efficiency. Engine efficiency ( ie converting the caloric power of the carburant into power) is around 20-25% on gas car engines and 30-32% on diesel car engines. The best gas engines are a bit under 40% and the best diesel engines around 54%.

The global efficiency of a car depends on a lot of factors going from the weight, aerodynamics, engine to the tires and ball bearings...

search in Google fuel efficiency. Very instructive.

@MrAluminox I was talking about lab data ... in real life obvously the effitienty is less . something more when you say 25% you mean the engine effitiency alone or the whole car .

@xifomahos1 a 56% efficient gas car? The most fuel efficient engines are the big slow 2 strokes diesel for ships, which run with heavy fuel. The fuel efficiency is about 52 to 54%.

Gas cars are around 25 %, and often less. I would like to see a 56% gas engine, even with turbo compound, direct injection, and ceramic pistons you cant get that.

Electric motors range from 80 to 93%.

@mrghks you are so right ...and anyway the only problem of the electric cars is the batteries everything else is pretty much solved . I mean yes electric cars have good acceleration but if you have searched recently the can achieve much greater top speed .... also the most effitient gas engine is about 56 % . the most effitient electric motor is 97% .
