The thunderbird sat lower than any other. the height that is. now you know why Nascar has a height requirement on all cars today.

Bill Elliott was the red-headed, southern-draw driver that everyone wants Junior to be - big difference, Elliot knew what he was doing. Elliot won NASCAR's Most Popular Driver 16 of 19 years. Lost twice to Waltrip and one to Earnhardt and only after Bill pulled out of the race and gave the award to the late Earnhardt the year he died. Elliott was the best ever on the super speedways.

You all know Dan Elliott admitted that the record speed car was illegal it was narrowed. and I do like Bill I miss the racers something missing in todays nascar. of single file driving.

You forgot to mention that Elliott got that 212.809mph record after NASCAR put many restrictions on the Fords just because of Bill!
