This video was made on November 20 2000. It shows one of the most incredible days ever witnessed on the River Tyne. The floating crane, The Asian Hercules II carried the bridge from the AMEC yard at Howdon up the River Tyne to its permanent home at Gateshead Quays near the Tyne Bridge.
