@roddy76to86 Okay roddy, no worries if your having trouble with your computer but would be good to hear about the lightning if you can. Just one more thing- i saw the vulcan in 1992 i think as a 5 year old child and hadnt seen it until a couple of weeks ago at waddington, although it was unbeleivable and brought a tear to my eye, the display seemed somewhat toned down compared to how it used to perform?? as if it was holding back?

@will1988a My new computer is going ballitsic. I'll get back to yiu. The Vulcan is a an amazing aircraft but NOTHING will EVER beat the LIGHTNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@roddy76to86 I never saw the lightning fly, im too young. I recently witnessed the vulcan. In what way was the lightning more impressive? and was it louder?

if you ever get a chance to see the Vulcan then just do take the chance! It is amazin, you can feel the sound all the way through your body. I have (luckily) seen it about 5 times? and everytime I get chills. It is the only one left flying, so go see it!

@xh558able Thanks for that :0) Shame I couldnt keep the camera a bit steadier!
I used to go to the Leuchars air shows when I was a kid in the 1970s, and have very fond memories of the Vulcan. So I'm delighted there is still one flying.
But the highlight for me every year was the Lightning, nothing could beat that as far as I was concerned. I just wish one was still flying in the UK.
Great clip, by the way.

I've seen it many times, plus the other two "V" bombers, The Valiant and The Victor! When I was a kid, I used to see all three of them patroling the skies over London on a daily basis! Thanks for the comment ;o)

In flight the "Howl" appears to be accompanied by massive subsonic frequencies. If you are slightly behind the Vulcan when it opens up the engines in flight the whole of your body, particularly the chest, reverberate to the subsonics. It is an unforgettable experience and one I hope to have again some day.
"Awesome" is scarcely adequate to describe it.
Well done, a good video.
