This is part 1 of the Demolition of Keller's Store on Aug 2nd 2005. This was a great historical structure in the Senecaville Village since the early 1800's. It was built by Mr Spaid and his signature in the building was a vine of leaves, but the leaves were shaped like spades in a deck of cards. Some of the bricks used to build th 12 inch walls were fired in kilns on the premises while others were sunbaked by slaves on location. Mr Herald Harding owned the building through the greater part of the 1900's and he planned to make apartments in the entire building. The area being demolished here was the kitchen area at the northeast corner of the structure.
that is really so sad. what a cool old building, bites the dust. did you notice how the kid on the ground has to duck to avoid getting hit by the debris. didn't he ever hear of a hard hat? we won't hold it against him, though, he looks kinda cute.

As the great Joni Mitchell once said..."Don't it always seem to go - that you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone..."
