@bthemedia Leading up to Carnival/Mardi Gras, there are usually a lot of these street parties and celebrations all over Port-au-Prince. Usually take place on Sunday afternoons. It's not about anything; just people letting loose.

I saw people who look just like me. i saw 2 little girls with their hair braided just like Mama used to braid mine 50 years ago. My heart aches.

Thanks for telling the story of Haiti. I'm a photographer/videographer now and I know the gifts we have can do a great deal to make this a better world. Please keep up the good work, and feel free to write me. I'm hoping to go to Haiti myself soon and help out. I recently trained as an EMT Basic although I have take my licensing exams yet. Also an amateur radio operator. I think I can help out . I love the music and culture of Haiti and notice a lot of similarities with New Orleans where I live

What was the celebration about? Looks like it was in some arts/creative community? Lots of creative/bizarre metal artwork there!

@Elizadevine I saw this video two days ago. I turn to it again, now, for a degree of comfort (in seeing an expression of happiness), and I realize:
I watch this video with your question foremost in my mind.
