On Thursday, November 3, the CUNY Law Labor Coalition invited guest speaker Uriel Antonio Carazo Garcia, of the Promoters of Peace and Development in Nicaragua, to talk about the issues behind out-migration from Nicaragua in relation to the United States military.

The lecture, "U.S. Military and Economic Violence in Nicaragua: Roots of Migration," also included Todd Miller and Riahl O'Malley from Witness for Peace (http://www.witnessforpeace.org/) and was co-sponsored by CUNY Law's Latin American Law Student Association, Inter-American Law Student Association, International Law Society, National Lawyers Guild, and Democracy Project. http://www1.cuny.edu/mu/law/?p=18048
