I mean when you look at the guitar work of such artists as Herman Li and Paul Williamson you realise that a "Chapman Stick is both shit and not with the times." lest we forget that Noel Gallagher is responsible for such classics as "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova." You have to consider when watching videos like this that there are other amazing musicians out there, have any of you seen the work of Matt Heafy from Trivium? Well if not I suggest you look at some of his incredible playing.

@The7Evanator check out stickist (dot) com for discussion and info, any Stick as long as it's set up correctly would be fine for a beginner. NS/Stick and Stick Bass (8 string versions) are good if you want to transition from bass to tapping, the 10 and 12 String standard Sticks are the best for solo music I think.

@GoBigC you can check out my website FAQ at robmartino (dot) com for latest info, for this video it was a few Boss multi-effects in parallel (GX-700 and SE-70s) direct to computer. For gigs lately I use a Fishman SA-220 for my amp and POD HD 500 for effects.
